My career at State Farm began as a lifeguard at State Farm Park in Bloomington, IL. I grew up in a State Farm family and truly feel that State Farm is in my blood. After graduating from Illinois Wesleyan University, I joined State Farm’s National Catastrophe team in New Orleans, Louisiana helping policyholders recover from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. It was there that I learned the “State Farm Way” and that State Farm does things the right way every time. In New Orleans, my job was to inspect the damage to homes of State Farm policyholders that had been damaged by one of the worst storms in our nation’s history. In some cases, all that was for me to inspect would be a concrete slab where the home had once stood. I witnessed firsthand the importance of having a family's most important asset properly insured. It was my experience that State Farm claims used the policy as a tool to find ways to pay for what we owed to our insureds. In all of homes that I wrote checks for I was never scrutinized for overpaying for damages or for living expenses. Instead claims management would point out additional areas in our policies that would allow for further coverage and additional payments to our policyholders. It was my experience in New Orleans that inspired me to want to become a State Farm Agent.

In April of 2008 I opened my State Farm agency in the Logan Square/Avondale neighborhood of Chicago, IL. Over the years, the city has changed, the neighborhood has changed, technology has changed, the Cubs have won it all but State Farm’s commitment to its policyholders has remained the same. I am proud to be a State Farm agent and to lead a diverse team that prides itself on doing things the “State Farm Way,” in the interest of State Farm and our customers. My favorite thing about working for State Farm is that at its core our job here is to help people. Whether it’s auto, home, health, life, or business we exist to help people protect the people, places and things that are important to them. At the end of the day, we treat our customers the way we’d want someone to treat our mom: with respect, patience, and kindness.
